Cmail Email Server Software

CMail Server New Version
We are pleased to announce the launch of Cmail server 2.4.16.

Note: There are only a few minor additions from 2.4.15 such as updated splash screen and updates to the manual so the 'New Features' of the previous upgrade 2.4.15 have been retained below.

The main new features are included below.

We are continuously improving and refining our software so expect further improvements and enhancements soon.

Users subscribing to our support package (£99 pa) are also entitled to free upgrades to the latest version. Users that wish to upgrade their version but do not wish to take the support option may do so at £65 per upgrade. If you purchased via a reseller please contact them to upgrade/subscribe.

New Features added to v.2.4.15

Messages counter
An additional monitor has been added to log the total amount of messages CMail has processed (incoming and outgoing) since it was started.

This can give a good indication of how hard the email server is working and help to identify if an abnormally high volume of messages have been processed.

Aged expiry of messages
Individual mail boxes can now be set to delete messages automatically after a set period. For example if you filter junk mail into a separate mail box you could set the mail box to delete it every few hours or after 12 months or ten years as required.

Ability to sort rules
When you have a lot of rule sets this option will make it easy to concentrate on a single domain and enable you to view rules for that particular domain.

Click on a rule and then click the [Domain] button and only rules for that domain will be vi sable.

Click [All] to view all the rules again.

Smtp authentication (auth login protocol)
This protocol has been added to support ISPs that authenticate the sending of email via a user name and password rather than (or in addition to) the users IP address.

Example: BT now requires this for certain accounts.

Pop before smtp protocol
This now supports pop before SMTP which is used by some ISPs.
